Design Charrettes.
Approach.
Design charrettes are a great way to engage a broad range of experts, community, end-users, leadership and your internal team. These in-person workshops are a design-forward approach to finding opportunities for specific design areas. These sessions bring participants with a range of expertise and experience together to focus on a common goal. Some teams will use this as a way to research user needs while others use this to begin the design process.
These sessions use creative brainstorming and participatory design techniques to draw out ideas, bringing all participants into the design process. It is an excellent way to get to the heart of what solution people want by engaging in a positive expression of their desires. This approach allows people to show themes and ideas rather than just a fully formed vision of the end product.
These sessions can be attended by 15 participants and might have additional team members who will be present to answer questions, lay out the context and observe the process.
Pricing.
Focused One Day
This includes:
2 x 1/2 day prep time @ $750 ea (if more prep time is needed, this can be added a-la-carte)
5 hour in-person charrette (in Victoria, BC unless other arrangements are made)
Workshop essentials (Post-its, markers, pens, etc - Additional materials such as printing or visual displays are additional)
Visual (digital) workshop summary and outputs with one revision cycle
Venue, sustenance, marketing and logistics to be coordinated with you and are not included in the noted price.

Short + Sweet
This includes:
